Dead Cells: Complete DLC Guide & New Biomes

Dead Cells has 4 major DLCs that add new biomes, weapons, and bosses. This guide covers all DLC content.

DLC Overview

1. Bad Seed (Free)

• New biome: Corrupted Prison
• New boss: The Scarecrows

2. Fatal Falls (Paid)

Bad Seed (Free DLC)

Corrupted Prison Biome

• Theme: Dark, corrupted version of the Prison
• Enemies: Corrupted versions of normal enemies
• Boss: The Scarecrows (3 scarecrows that attack in patterns)
• Strategy: Kill the scarecrows one at a time. They revive if left alive.

Boss Rush Mode

• Description: Fight all bosses in sequence
• Difficulty: Very Hard
• Reward: Exclusive weapons and skins
• Strategy: Bring healing items. The fights are long and brutal.

Custom Mode

• Description: Customize your run with modifiers
• Options: Infinite gold, no damage, fast mode, etc.
• Use case: Practice boss fights or test builds

Fatal Falls (Paid DLC)

Undying Shores Biome

• Theme: Beach with undead enemies
• Enemies: Crabs, undead pirates, seagulls
• Boss: The Giant Kraken (tentacles attack from off-screen)
• Strategy: Kill the tentacles first, then attack the main body.

Bank Biome

• Theme: Underwater bank vault
• Enemies: Fish, divers, mechanical sharks
• Boss: The Banker (throws gold coins that explode)
• Strategy: Dodge the coins, attack when he stops to count gold.

Grappling Hook Mechanic

• Description: New mobility tool that lets you swing across gaps
• How to get: Find the grappling hook in the Undying Shores
• Strategy: Use it to reach hidden areas and avoid damage

The Queen and the Sea (Paid DLC)

The Queens Court Biome

• Theme: Fancy royal court with noble enemies
• Enemies: Knights, nobles, royal guards
• Boss: The Queen (phases: sword fight, magic attack, summon minions)
• Strategy: Phase 1: Dodge her sword combos. Phase 2: Block her magic. Phase 3: Kill the minions first.

Ship Combat

• Description: Naval battles on your ship
• Mechanics: Aim cannons, dodge enemy ships, board enemy vessels
• Strategy: Focus fire on one ship at a time. Board enemy ships for loot.

Return to Castlevania (Paid DLC)

Castlevania Biome

• Theme: Classic Castlevania castle
• Enemies: Skeletons, zombies, vampires, werewolves
• Boss: Dracula (phases: melee, magic, bat swarm, final form)
• Strategy: Phase 1: Dodge his sword. Phase 2: Block his magic. Phase 3: Kill the bats quickly. Phase 4: Dodge his laser eyes.

Sub-Weapons

• Description: Castlevania-style secondary weapons
• Types: Axe (thrown), Cross (boomerang), Holy Water (ground fire)
• How to get: Find sub-weapon shards in the Castlevania biome
• Strategy: Use sub-weapons to break enemy shields and deal extra damage.

Magic Tomes

• Description: Spell books that cast powerful magic
• Types: Fireball (ranged), Ice Shard (freeze), Lightning (chain damage)
• How to get: Find magic tomes in the Castlevania biome
• Strategy: Use magic tomes to clear rooms quickly. They have long cooldowns.

Belmont Whip

• Description: The iconic Castlevania weapon
• Stats: High damage, wide arc, slow speed
• How to get: Defeat Dracula
• Strategy: Use the whip for crowd control. It hits all enemies in front of you.

Advanced Tips

• Bad Seed is free. Download it first to get the Corrupted Prison and boss rush.
• Fatal Falls adds the most content. The grappling hook changes mobility completely.
• The Queen and the Sea has the best boss fight. The Queen is challenging but fair.
• Return to Castlevania is the most nostalgic. The Belmont whip is incredibly satisfying.
• Play DLC biomes in order: Bad Seed → Fatal Falls → The Queen → Castlevania. The difficulty scales.
