Spelunky 2: Endgame Areas & Secrets
The Cosmic Ocean is the true endgame. Reaching it requires specific methods.
Entering the Cosmic Ocean
- Backpack + Bomb method: Equip the backpack, enter any level in the Ice Caves or Neo Babylon, and bomb the back wall.
- Moai method: In the Ice Caves, find a moai statue and bomb it.
- UFO method: Steal a UFO from Neo Babylon and fly it into the back wall.
The Cosmic Ocean Layout
- Abzu entrance: Look for a door with a fish symbol. Requires the Udjat Eye or Kapala.
- Duat entrance: Look for a door with an ankh symbol. Requires the Tablet of Destiny.
- Regular exit: Leads to the surface with bonus treasure.
Abzu — The Underwater Temple
Abzu is a water-filled temple with mermaid enemies and the Apu Crown (makes all gems worth 2x). The boss is Yama, a giant fish god.
Duat — The Afterlife
Duat is a dark, dangerous level filled with Anubis enemies and Osiris (the final boss). Osiris has three phases: human form, mummy form, and fly swarm form.
Tiamat — The True Final Boss
After defeating Osiris, you reach Tiamat. Use the Ushabti to trap her, then attack with bombs and arrows. Tiamat has 50 HP and hits for instant death.
King Yu & Hundun
After Tiamat, you can optionally fight King Yu (giant ape) and Hundun (chaos dragon). These are the hardest fights in the game.
